This Ain't It, Bro! (Original title: Не така, брат! [Ne ta'ka, brat!]) is a Bulgarian High School web video series from 2017-2018. It traces the final two school years of Mikhail "Misho" Antonov through his eyes, and his life with his brother Deyan "Dido" and his endless drama around whichever girl he happens to get a crush on.

Provides examples of the following tropes:

  • Beta Couple: While Dido and Bea have their fair share of drama, breakups and fights, it's in contrast to Misho's much messier love life in which he often struggles to have a relationship at all. When he is in one, he makes rookie mistakes, compared to his brother's more "advanced" problems.
  • Bromantic Foil/Sibling Rivalry: Misho is a Nerd. His brother Dido is The Casanova.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Bea. She constantly gets upset if she doesn't have Dido's full attention, pressures him into expressing his affection more than he's comfortable with, and gets paranoid over any possibility of him leaving her.
  • Expy: Maina West, a rap celebrity, is one of Kanye West. He agrees to help Bea if she plays the part of being his girlfriend for the media.
  • Goth: Blaga early on. It's supposed to be repulsive and creepy, but it doesn't help that her actress has model good looks.
  • Gossip Evolution: In S 04 E 20, Dido rescues a kitten from a tree and gets hero-worshipped. To the annoyance of Misho, who refused to do it, gossip gives him an example "how folklore came to be":
Ms. Veleva: Misho, where's your brother? I heard he saved a kitten and risked his life!
Random girl: The cat belonged to a little girl and Dido helped it down and gave it back to her. He jumped from 5 meters!
Random guy: ... And then Dido saved the little girl.
Nail: It had caught the girl in its teeth, and Dido bolted to her and saved her. But the beast ran after him and Dido leaped from 10 meters high!
  • High-School Hustler: "Nail" Tony, who always has some deal to offer. He's also the resident bully.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Misho for his first crush, Victoria, with whom he has nothing in common and she doesn't even notice him.
  • Ladykiller in Love: Dido is introduced as a womanizer, but the girl he hooks up with in the pilot, Beatrice ("Bea") remains his Love Interest for the duration of the series.
  • Love Dodecahedron: The second season introduces Blaga, Mr. Dochev's daughter, who has a crush on Misho. At the time he has a crush on Victoria, then starts dating the New Transfer Student Iva. When he finally realizes he has feelings for Blaga, he makes an ass of himself several times and it takes a while for her to rekindle her own feelings for him.
  • Prima Donna Director: Blaga in S 04 E 18 when she's shooting a music video with the ulterior motif of separating Iva and Misho by having Iva and Dido play a couple. Pissing off Bea is also a nice bonus. The attitude described by this trope is more of an act to get them to do so.
Blaga: We're losing the light and I'm losing my patience!
Blaga: when Dido and Iva barely put any effort in their acting Guys, what are you doing, get a grip! I want The Notebook, one look and I should be crying! Cause right now I only want to cry out of despair.
  • Reaction Shot: Many, of course, but in S 04 E 18 when Iva and Dido kiss (more passionately than they intended) in front of the camera, the trope is played for all its worth and in slow motion.
    • Nail does a jaw drop.
    • Misho as well, and he lowers the camera.
    • Bea goes from shock to a grimace like she's about to start crying.
    • Blaga smirks and shakes her head like "gotcha".
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Misho over the course of the series, when he starts doing things like dating Blaga just for attention. In one episode, he invokes this trope when he takes his brother's advice to stop caring about everyone's opinions to heart and just starts being really rude to everyone. It backfires when he takes Brutal Honesty with his brother too far and gets clocked.
  • Unresolved Sexual Tension: Mr. Dochev, the phys ed teacher, and Ms. Veleva, the music teacher. It's even more awkward because he's the not-too-bright, sporty and primal type of man, while she's a refined but shy and sensitive woman.
    • Belligerent Sexual Tension: It starts off this way, with them bickering over anything and everything, especially when they host a talent show where Veleva approves Blaga's performance and encourages her, but Dochev tries to hinder her because he wants to protect her from an eventual disappointment if she starts a career in music.
