Sam and Colby are a duo of best friends, Sam Golbach and Colby Brock, who started their internet careers making comedy skits on Vine back in 2014. Following Vine's shutdown, they moved to YouTube to focus on urban exploring videos, but are currently best known for their ghost hunting content - which they became serious about in 2019 - and have become some of the most well known paranormal investigators in the community.
Sam and Colby contains examples of:
- Creepy Cave: The Bell Witch Cave and the Paris and Ukraine catacombs.
- Creepy Cemetery: One of the places they investigate in THE GRAVEYARD: The Night That Changed Us Forever...
- Crossover: Almost all of their videos feature guest appearances from friends; often, some are other YouTubers, and they have also made videos with Dylan and Steve from Haunted Nights and Dakota and Chelsea from Destination Fear.
- Dead Person Conversation: After becoming more serious about ghost hunting, Sam and Colby own countless paranormal equipment (such as the Spirit Box and the Estes Method that utilizes it) that feature in all their videos that allow them to communicate with entities at a location.
- Electromagnetic Ghosts: Own EMF detectors that spike when there is an unexplained interference.
- Ghost Ship: Have investigated the Queen Mary ship multiple times, and it is actually where they had one their first undeniable paranormal experiences.
- Haunted Castle: Yes, they have investigated these too!
- Haunted House: Naturally, many of their videos involve either these of larger abandoned buildings such as Abandoned Hospitals.
- Magnetic Medium: As Sam and Colby have learnt the hard way, opening themselves up to the paranormal world has put them at risk of gaining attachments. Sam in particular had what seemed to be the spirit of a little girl (or at least what appeared to be a little girl) attach itself to him.
- Paranormal Investigation: Although having an interest in the paranormal for many years, Sam and Colby did not begin making full time paranormal content until 2019, and it is now what they are best known for.
