CawCophony (formerly Cyril Panda) is a video review show hosted by Crow, a bird who covers all kinds of music from pop hits to underground metal acts.

She has three series:

  • Top 10 Best Hit Songs of...: Covering the stand-outs from a past or present year. Unlike her peers, Crow refrains from making Worst lists to focus on the positive.
  • Albumpressions: A monthly series where she gives short reviews for several albums released from that month.
  • Billboard Monthly: Another monthly series where she covers every song that reached the Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 that month, baring songs she refuses to give a segment to for whatever reason.

Her channel can be found here.

Trope Examples

  • Bait-and-Switch: For the #7 segment for the Best Hit Songs of 2021 list, Crow begins by praising "Sand On My Boots", only to discuss why she's not comfortable with giving Morgan Wallen a platform; she instead gives the spot to another country song, "Starting Over" by Chris Stapleton.
  • Crossover: She collaborated with Lyzette G for their Best Hit Songs of 1973 list.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": It's easy to guess what kind of bird Crow is from the name alone.
  • Silent Treatment: The entire segment for "Mambo No. 5" in the 1234 Subscriber Special is her standing in silence with a disapproving look while the song plays in the background.
  • Thieving Magpie: In opening of the 1234 Subscriber Special, Crow mentions stealing her format for the video from fellow music reviewer Lyzette G. Her reason?:
"That's what crows do. We steal. Deal with it."
