The Wild East
is a Speculative Biology project detailing life of the mesozoic landmass Appalachia in the format of a field guide. However, this is all told in a world where in order to escape a dying future earth, humanity went into an alternate universe where its still the mesozoic, and humans, settling in to escape a polluted overpopulated earth, have reverted back to a culture and technology level straight out of the era of the wild west.
It hasn't been updated as of 2017 and is abandoned.
This project contains examples of:
- Alternate Universe
- Artistic License – Paleontology: Some of it maybe justified by being an Alternate Universe, but still.
- Call a Rabbit a "Smeerp": Very few of the animals are referred to by their scientific names, instead by common names.
- Days of Future Past: Despite being well after 2869, Appalachia is currently in an era much like the late 1800's and early 1900's.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Reccuring character Dean Johnson seems to be one of Dwayne Johnson, judging by his name and personality.
