  • Chris was so fat that his father, Mr. Depp enrolled him into the military school hoping to make him lose weight. At the end of the story he lost weight.
  • Kristina was fat due to eating sweets. She lost weight as a result of rehabilitation when she was hospitalized for appendicitis while she was dieting.
• Dustbin School: Carrie was forced to join a class of disruptive kids. When the kids got too much for the school's teachers to handle, Miss Gray, a strict teacher was sent to teach them.
• Green-Eyed Monster: Kristie was jealous of Angelica and even went as to steal her poem that she was reading aloud in class.
• Military School: Carl and Maggie own and run a military school. When they adopted Alex, they enrolled her in the school and she is the only female student there.
• Long-Lost Relative: Cherry saw a similar looking girl named Rachel at her new school. It's later revealed that they are twins but Cherry's real parents couldn't afford to raise both children so they decided to have her rich foster mother adopt her.

• Secretly Wealthy: When Nicole and her family got rich, she decided to hide her newfound wealth from Finn since he hates rich people.
• Sheltered Aristocrat: Cherry was homeschooled her whole life and was sheltered. When she heard the maids talking about how she has no friends and will never survive the real world, she decided to go to school to make friends.
• Sins of the Father: Mrs. Rojas deliberately made Adele the prom queen so she can use her son Diego to humiliate her by dropping goo on her. She did to get back at Adele's father who did the same thing to her in high school. Luckily he came to the school just in time and revealed everything. Even when he begged her for forgiveness and even doused himself with the goo, she refused to forgive him.
• Stolen Credit Backfire: Kristie stole Angelica's song and claimed it as hers. Mike revealed that he wrote the poem about her. Angelica managed to wow the audience with a rock performance and publicly revealed that Kristie stole the song.
