I Am Octavia
is a Fan Animation of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic . The titular song is a parody of "Titanium" by David Guetta ft. Sia.
The plot of the story revolves around Vinyl Scratch and Octavia's friendship. After being shot down by Vinyl one too many times, Octavia is ready to stop her friendship with Vinyl. Vinyl Scratch, however, tries to salvage their friendship by going to Octavia's musical performance.
Not to be confused with the unrelated song I Am Octavio.
I Am Octavia provides examples of:
- Ambiguous Ending: The animation ends with Octavia hearing Vinyl call out to her. The ending credits show her and Vinyl hugging, but it's unknown if this is the actual ending.
- Break Up Song: Of a platonic manner. "I Am Octavia" is about how Octavia can't trust Vinyl anymore.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Vinyl realizes how much she's taken for granted her friendship with Octavia, and decides to set things right. Whether she succeeded or not is up in the air.
- Pseudo-Romantic Friendship: Octavia and Vinyl's relationship is close and romantically tinged, but it's only ever referred to as friendship.
- Tomboyish Voice: Vinyl Scratch has a slightly low voice, fitting how she's the tomboy to Octavia's Girly Girl.
