Ultra-V is the canon protagonist

  • Out of all the monsters, Ultra-V doesn't have his base form in the story campaign. That's because he's actually the actual protagonist or Villain Protagonist of the story all along.
  • Alien Invasion - All across the globe, nations are under sieged by alien saucers/UFOs. To combat this threat, the world's scientists band together to create powerful devices that are used to short circuit the alien crafts. It worked and the saucers come crashing down.
  • The Beginning - Although the alien invasion is over, the nightmare had just begun. NASA pilot, chimpanzee, Congar was sent out into space only for his shuttle to collide with one of the UFOs. Congar was sent hurtling back to Earth, now mutated into a monstrous colossus.
  • Monster War - Meanwhile, the saucers are done but their fuel begin to spread and infect other beings like Togera, Robo-47, Magmo, Kineticlops, Raptros and multiple mutant Ants. The world tries to prepare to fight in this War of the Monsters by creating monsters of their own, including the Japanese building a mecha, natives conjuring a god and dabbling with the alien fuel.
  • Rise of Ultra V - Japanese Scientists create the perfect weapon to battle the monsters, Ultra V. They power up their mecha with the alien fuel. It worked but unbeknownst to them, their mecha was being taken over by Cerebulon who orders V to rampage against his creators. For a time, Ultra V served the aliens until eventually, V broke free and continued his mission: To Protect Earth.
  • Day of Colossus - Ultra V head to Midway Park to confront Congar who returned to the home he lived as a chimpanzee. Congar is defeated but his corpse is later taken by the military.
  • Revenge of Togera - The mecha then ventures to Gambler's Gulch where Togera wrecks havoc upon the people for disturbing his ancestral grounds. In response to two monsters battling, the military send in their forces along with Robo-47 who remained loyal to his country. Both Togera and Robo-47 are defeated but the latter is salvaged.
  • Outpost X - At Rosedale Canyon, the military are battling the Mutant Ants until Ultra V arrives. When the ants are gone, Goliath Prime reveal themselves.
  • Creeping Chaos - After defeating Goliath Prime, Ultra V head towards Metro City where he battles Preytor and Mecha Congar who was programmed to take you down at any cost.
  • Terror from the Skies - A pair of Raptros attacked an airfield, thinking the aircraft are prey or rival predators.
  • Battle for Atomic Island - To protect his home, Kineticlops fused with the Nuclear facility to create copies of himself. After the island explodes, the nuclear radiation combined with Kineticlops' alien fueled electricity creates the Venus Fly Trap behemoth, Vegon.
  • Battle of the Titans - The aliens return to continue their invasion, starting with Bay Town, the military's main HQ. Robo-47s bravely defend their home before taking their sights on the newly arrived Ultra V.
  • Terror in Paradise - Magmo and Agamo war against each other to claim Club Caldera as their own all the while the aliens try to capture monsters for their own uses.
  • Destroyer Wave - In a last attempt to recapture Ultra V, Cerebulon creates copies of the mecha to aid in the attempt. Although both clones perished, Cerebulon succeeds in capturing V.
  • Terror in Space - Cerebulon takes Ultra V to the Mothership where Zorgulon and his species awaits to restrain him but Ultra V proved too great resulting in the Mothership's destruction.
  • Destroyer of Worlds - With the invasion force now destroyed, Cerebulon decides to take matters on his own appendages to rule Earth but not before eliminating the monster that causes him so much trouble.
    • Also notable, he appears on the cover fighting Congar who does appear in his base costume in the story campaign.
