The plot of a sequel (if there is one) will be about The Masquerade that KPS upholds being broken, and the existence of Kaiju Earth being revealed to the world at large.
Ideally, it would start with an incident so public that KPS can't cover it up, such as a prototype of a new nuclear reactor or something opening a portal to Kaiju Earth and porting one through. Jamie, Niamh, Aparna, Kahurangi, and Satie are the team sent to lure the kaiju back to it's home dimension, due to their prior experience, and they are successful. However, this is only the start of the firestorm, as the public has learned that there's an alternate earth where skyscraper-size creatures are real, and there's no going back now.
A good title would be The Kaiju Preservation Society: Fission and Fusion.
- Jamie also winds up becoming a spokesperson for the KPS. The Doctors, soldiers, and higher-ups do plenty of interviews, but the public gets a better picture when hearing about Kaiju Earth from a regular grunt's POV.
