Youngho has a subconscious fear of Miss Song
- He really does not want to disappoint her (as she is his favourite teacher and he is deeply infatuated with her beauty), but he's also afraid of commitment. As a freshman, Youngho is nervous about being pursued by a woman who he has feelings for. He is also anxious about meeting with a woman who can overpower him and make him feel helpless. The Shade took advantage of these fears to create a living version of Youngho's worst nightmare.
- Jossed, unfortunately. The Shade's manifestation has nothing to do with Youngho's Virgin Tension. It's just a terrifying coincidence.
The Shade was actually jealous of Mina
- She felt emotionally attached to Seho. However, she felt incredibly slighted when she was told to bring Mina into the Coma. She specifically made an incomplete copy of her master's crush in order to dissuade Seho from loving Mina. Unfortunately, this backfired.
Soomi Park personally knew The Shade
- In The Shade's previous life, they were friends. This could be why the Shade is so familiar with Ghost Vilgilantes.
- Confirmed. The Shade is a Fettered Shade, like a twisted shadow version of Soomi.

- The grandmother of Miss Song. This would explain why The Shade decided to use Miss Song's image as her own puppet. She wanted to degrade the descendant of the woman who she truly despised.

- ...a former secretary.
- ...a former teacher.
The sequel to The Coma will feature Yaesol or Mina as the main character
- In all of the endings, Yaesol mentions how she will have to save Youngho's soul from the Coma. The true ending suggests that Mina may also try to find a way to help Youngho recover from his coma.
- Confirmed! Mina is the next game's protagonist.
There will be a side-story game of the Coma
- It will likely feature Yaesol and her adventures while Youngho is busy with exploring Coma!Sehwa.
The reason why Yaesol wears so many student ID tags around her neck
- She carries them as keepsakes, as they belonged to students who were killed from entering the Coma.
- Alternatively, these tags allow her to access the Comas of different high schools.
The next Coma game will feature an even more persistent Killer. He/she will passively enter rooms, as well as search through hiding spots
- Say for instance if the player ran inside of a washroom while in the Killer's line-of-sight. After spotting where the player ran off to, the Killer would enter that particular washroom and start to examine all of the toilet stalls. Thus the player will be forced to plan carefully where and when to hide.
