In one of the subsequent chapters narrated by Harry and Apollus, they talk about how it's hard to write the chapter, even though they know how it ultimately turns out, and tell the reader to have faith. Now, the title of the upcoming thirteenth book obviously pertains to Jesus' Crucifixion, especially considering that Jim's plotline is about him surviving in the time period just before this event. Considering how Jesus healed Harry's broken back in The Feathered Serpent Part Two, it seems likely that somehow, Meagan and Apollus will end up time-travelling to Jesus' resurrection, and Jesus will give Meagan her eyes back.
- Alternatively, the series will end with the massive Hawkins clan coming to the modern century right when the Second Coming occurs, and Jesus will heal Meagan's eyes then.
