Cats are sacred animals in Kittydale
- It's immdeiately noticeable how many things are themed around cats in this city. There is also the fact that humans never intervene in the cats' antics, no matter how significant their actions are. Both might be explained by the fact that cats are considered sacred animals, and thus must be treated with respect and allowed to do whatever they please. As for the Super Kitties themselves - due to having superpowers, they are considered even more significant than regular cats. The cat cafe they live in is as a sort of a temple built to please them.
- The series also hints why exactly cats bear such a status. See, in some scenes it is obvious that the inventions used by the characters work on magic. But on the other hand, we never see humans using such magical tools, so it is safe to assume that humans are incapable of handling this magic. Thus - they worship animal wizards. In this case, while cats are not the only users of magic, they are apparently the most powerful and are considered dominant. As to why the animals haven't provided humans with magical machines - there might be some strong religious beliefs preventing them from doing so.
- Or it's impossible to teach humans how to use those tools because humans don't speak fluent animal.
