    Pre-Release Theories

Ki-Adi-Mundi's wives and daughters will visit him during the mission to spend time with him while he's away from his regular haunts for so long and (from a pragmatic viewpoint) could also relate more to citizens as a family man.
  • Eeth Koth watching Ki and his family could cause him to feel longings that act as a Call-Forward to his own future marriage.
  • Jossed

Some of the masters will utilize Force powers beyond those normally seen (phasing, alchemy, hyperspace tunneling, life bonding, altering the environment, doppelganger, combustion, shatterpoint, etc.) to emphasize how they are a step above the average Jedi).
  • Jossed

One of the Councilors will try to go the whole trip without using Force powers once.
  • Jossed
Some of the Seperatist corporations will cameo.
  • The Trade Federation is name-dropped.
One of the Councilors will show frustration about how the Jedi Council doesn't have Senate representation even though shady corporations do.
  • Jossed. If anything, the Jedi dislike being involved in Senate affairs as much as they already are.
The masters who were alive during the golden age of the Republic will get nostalgic.
  • Confirmed
Djinn Altis and his ship will make a cameo appearance and he will be a friend of Qui-Gon.
  • Jossed
A subplot or spinoff novel plot will involve lower-ranking (whether relatively or genuinely minor) Jedi like Tera Sinube, Jocasta Nu, Sifo-Dyas, Rael Aveross, Pong Krell, Ky Narrec, Rahm Kota, future Councilor Shaak Ti Cin Dralling, Ima-Gun-Di, Kelleran Beq, Tholme, Ikrit, Lene Kostana, Klefan Opus, and maybe Legends characters like Djinn Altis, K'Kruhk, Jon Antilles, Eno Cordova, Knol Ven'nari, the Dark Woman, Zao, Kai Hudorra, Ma'kiss'shaalas, Rahm Kota, Arligan Zey, Tsui Choi, Lannius Qel-Bertuk, Roblio Darté, Aquino’s, Roan Shyrne, Dass Jennir, Ma'kiss'shaalas, Kaddak Paratus, and Fay being thrust into the roles the absent Councilors normally take on Coruscant and doing surprisingly well.
  • Jossed for at least this book
Plo Koon will have a sense of inadequacy at times while feeling that his Master and predecessor Tyvokka was a better councilor.
  • Jossed
Some of the Councilors will be revealed to have started out in less-known branches of the Jedi Order like the Agricultural Corps, Exploration Corps, Temple Security Force, EduCorps, Teepo Paladins, Gray Paladins, Jedi Shadows, Jedi Researchers, Jedi Ambassadors, the slicers, and the technical division.
  • Jossed

Mace will visit his homeworld on his way back home at the end.
  • Jossed
The Ghost Prism will cameo and will be revealed to have been built as a prison outpost during Chancellor Soh's era.
  • Jossed
Yaddle will have her Legends personality here at first, only to have a Cynicism Catalyst during the book.
  • Zigzagged. Yaddle is fairly optimistic in this book, but whatever Cynicism Catalyst she has doesn’t happen here.
Master Even Piell will lose his eye here and/or suffer injuries leaving him as Dented Iron to explain his Informed Ability status in later appearances.
  • Jossed
Adi Gallia will share a scene with her cousin.
  • Jossed
Saesee Tiin will consider taking a Padawan during the novel, only for his protégé to die or show some moral failing.
  • Jossed
Adi Gallia will show off her spymaster skills while mingling with people and will be the first one to know a threat is coming.
  • Jossed
Eeth Koth will have an encounter with representatives of the Church of Ganthic Enlightenment and trade philosophies with them.
  • Jossed
Micah Giiett is alive here and merely retired from the Council.

A young Grogu will appear.
  • Jossed
Qui-Gon will mention Jude Watson books characters like Xanatos, Bruck Chun, Prince Beju, Cerasi, Manex, Astiri Oddo, Ona Nobis, Den, the Derida Brothers, Grath and his Freelies, Jemba the Hutt, Prince Leed, and the Benevolet Guides.
  • Jossed
There will be a difference in attitudes of the limited term members of the Council and the five lifetime members, and someone like Qui-Gon, a local citizen, or even a councilor or two will comment on it.
  • Jossed
One of the Councilors will have experience with non-traditional weapons like lightwhips, lightsaber pikes, a double-bladed lightsaber, flails, or a blaster rifle that the Force can enhance shots of.
  • Jossed
Aurra Sing, Shahan Alama, Bulduga, Onca, Sinrich, and Embo will all make cameos trying to collect Jedi bounties.

    Post-Release Theories
The Lobber is a member of the Grahk Family.
  • Aside from Villie, the members who appear onscreen in the old canon do have some Stupid Crooks airs.
If Oppo survives the Great Jedi Purge, he spends at least part of his time hiding on Kwenn, which he feels even more connected to than his fellow Jedi at times.

General Veers will reflect on his meeting with Mace Windu in this book.

Darth Plageuis began stealing Jedi texts from outpost libraries in the past, before Palpatine ever did it with Voh.

Zilastra's childhood friends were siblings.
  • The odds that two out of three of the only orphans in an underfunded backwater orphanage are Force-sensitive would be a lot better if the two were related to each other.

If one or both of Zilastra's childhood friends did get accepted into the Jedi Order, one of them is Aurra Sing.
  • The age is about right. Her Back Story of having a Junkie Parent uninterested in raising her could support her being left at an orphanage rather than directly given to the Jedi, and it could make for an interesting future team-up if they ever reunite.
