The comic book will eventually tie-in with the Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) comic series or happen concurrently.
Both comic book series focuse on the time period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. So maybe in the issues where Darth Vader doesn't make an appearance, he is busy searching for answers about Padmé's death along with Sabé?

Maz Kanata will make an appearance
The synopsis for the fifth issue of the relaunched series says that after experiencing a vision on Cloud City, Luke Skywalker must travel now to a lost planet looking for a woman who is maybe holds the key to his Jedi future and that of the entire Rebellion. As Maz Kanata was shown in Star Wars: Forces of Destiny as helping Leia and the Rebels as far as back before the beginning of Return of the Jedi, then it can be a possibility that Luke will meet Maz and convince her to help him and the Rebellion.

Luke Skywalker will lose his yellow lightsaber
The sixth issue of the relaunched series has Luke wielding a yellow lightsaber on its cover. As he lost his original blue one in The Empire Strikes Back and he makes his green one at Obi-Wan Kenobi's hut before going to Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi, it seems plausible that Luke will lose his yellow lightsaber before or by the end of the series.

The individual Ellian Zahra lost aboard the Death Star was Grand Moff Tarkin.
According to the Marvel, the seventh issue of the relaunched series will reveal why Commander Ellian Zahra hates Princess Leia Organa so much. It has been established that she lost someone who was really important for her when the Death Star was destroyed, but who is this one is still unknown. Interestingly, the issue's cover features Grand Moff Tarkin behind Leia and Zahra, so maybe Ellian was good friends with the Grand Moff? Even her protégé?
  • The third issue may hint at this, as Zahra mentions that her mentor taught her to relish the victory but savor the hunt. As revealed in Star Wars: Tarkin, Wilhuff Tarkin used to hunt with his uncle when he was young, so this might be an indicator that this theory is right.

Ellian Zahra will be revealed as the new canon version of Natasi Daala.
Regarding the above theory, in case Grand Moff Tarkin is the one Commander Zahra lost aboard the Death Star, what if Zahra and Tarkin were more than friends? In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Jedi Academy Trilogy featured a character named Admiral Natasi Daala, who engaged in a love affair with Grand Moff Tarkin, whom she highly regarded and who was responsible of her promotion within the ranks. Daala hasn't been recanonized, so maybe Zahra is her counterpart in the new canon.

It will be finally explained how Luke's first lightsaber made its way to Maz Kanata
During the Sequel Trilogy, despite Maz Kanata's promise in The Force Awakens that the story of how Luke's original lightsaber came to her was for another time, we never got to discover what became of the lightsaber following its loss at Cloud City. In the fourth issue of the relaunched series, Luke discovers that someone took his blade. Such individual doesn't seem to be Maz but a human. Maybe the comic can finally explain that mystery?

Verla will tell about how she became disillusioned with the Jedi to Luke
The fifth issue has revealed that the hooded woman Luke saw in his Force visions was Verla, a character from the Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith comic book series. In that series, a younger Verla was one of Ferren Barr's disciples and was willing to die for her informal Jedi Master. We can expect that she will tell what happened to her so she would change her opinion about the Jedi Order.
  • And perhaps a flashback sequence about what happened to Verla may involve another Order 66 survivor? Barr asked Verla to find some Jedi Master like Quinlan Vos, Obi-Wan Kenobi or Yoda to continue her training, so maybe it will be revealed that shet met one of these three or another one, like Yaddle for example? Possibly Yoda could be, as she tells Luke that she knows about that "Do or do not. There's no try" thing, which is what Yoda taught Luke at Dagobah...

The protocol droid who serves Jabba in the series will be ultimately disintegrated
Jabba the Hutt is seen having a protocol droid who serves him as his interpreter in the second issue. However, this droid is nowhere to be seen during the events of Return of the Jedi, where C-3PO gets hired to do that role. Interestingly, in the same movie, EV-9D9 mentions to C-3PO that they have not had another interpreter since the last one angered Jabba to the point he was disintegrated. Maybe that interpreter is this protocol droid and he will be killed off by the time the series' run ends?
