Kurt is a Death Seeker

Unless he was supremely stupid, there's no way that Kurt expected to get away with his crimes. Several of his videos in the opening hint at him having depression and self-loathing issues. So it absolutely wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility that he intended to finish up his stream by either killing himself or committing Suicide by Cop. It would also help to explain his increasingly reckless behavior throughout the night.
