She's a genetically enhanced Super-Soldier designed specifically for Rideback-riding.- She is a Newtype and the "light" is the psy-commu system of the Fuego communicating with the land of the dead (in Gundam, Newtypes could sometimes (as the plot demanded...) communicate with the dead) and summoning the spirit of her dead mother.
