In EMERGENCY MEETING, Purple (or whatever color that is) was the Imposter all along.

After observing the crew for a while, he realized that things were already shaky enough between them that just a bit more strain would push them over the edge, so he made himself look like he was dead and just let everyone else kill each other without ever having to get his hands dirty. The hot dog next to him was to give him an alibi in case someone realized he wasn't actually dead (coupled with the "I fell asleep while eating again" giving the impression that this is a common occurence; even if those instances were faked, it was him setting up the alibi in advance so that everyone would buy it this time). This would also explain why he just so happened to wake up immediately after the last two crewmates were dead despite the chaos happening around him the whole time; he wasn't a Heavy Sleeper, he was just waiting until he was sure the last two were dead. His final lines could have been him keeping up the act just in case there was someone around who was still alive, or cameras potentially recording that would expose him to someone who saw them later.

Note that he's the only one missing from the thumbnail; implying he's not actually part of the crew.

• Word of God states that the twist is that there was no imposter all along, but the comment-reading video says that other conclusions are valid even if they aren't canon.
