WMG / Rambo: Last Blood

Go To

Rambo will die in this movie
But he will train a younger man to be a vigilante like him. Movies seem to love Passing the Torch moments now. Potentially, his replacement will be Vietnamese, just to do a Book Ends and to indicate how far Rambo has come.
  • Jossed. The final scene implies Rambo will bleed to death, but he trains no replacement. And a mid-credits scene shows Rambo getting up from his seat and riding off into the sunset.

The Cartel will turn out to be a Disc-One Final Boss
They'll actually be working with the CIA to bring drugs into the U.S., after which the local CIA Chief decides Rambo has become an annoyance, meaning that The Last Dance will be between Rambo and some evil Americans.
  • Jossed. The only group Rambo fights in the movie are sex traffickers, not the cartel. And no evil Americans are involved in the plot.

The film will end with a cover version of 'It's a Long Road,' the theme song of the first movie
Because this is the end of Rambo's story and he will most likely die, after fighting his last war and hopefully achieving some kind of peace. Whoever sees him off will start wandering the world as he did, and this song will see them, Rambo and the whole franchise off as it comes full circle.
  • Mostly Jossed. Battle Adagio plays at the end, Rambo lives but he rides off in the sunset to wander, knowing he'll never find true peace, but swears to fight on for the memory of those who are gone. We do get scenes from the 4 previous movies in the end credits as a call back to the entire franchise.
