* Perhaps she'll be a MinionMaster commanding something akin to [[Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog]] certainly would explain why her team doesn't think a Grimm invasion is a threat enough to use it.

Well, as one of the best wielders of a SinisterScythe, and having the name of [[AnimalStereotypes a black bird often associated with death]], it's probable that his first appearance in the series will be milking the Death motifs for all their worth, by having him rocking a black hood, skull-style paint ([[DemBones if he somehow isn't an animate skeleton himself]]), and possibly [[FaceOfAThug getting mixed up for an enemy]] [[DontFearTheReaper until Ruby recognizes him as her uncle, and tells the others to stand down]]. And since he was one of the most legendary hunters of Creatures of the Grimm, this would make him a literal... [[JustForPun GRIMM Reaper!]]

[[WMG:Gretchen Rainart was like Ruby]]
Hazel says his sister “was only a child,” and “She wasn’t ready,” which kind of strikes me as an odd thing to say in a world where sending people in their late teens at best to elite military academies is considered a normal thing. Ruby skipped two years to attend Beacon, and Weiss implied when they first met that Signal/the combat schools in general are “just sparring and practice.” So what if Gretchen went to Beacon early and turned out to be less qualified than Ruby is? Why Ozpin would have done this is another story, but it seems plausible.

The trope changed and she can't be an "incorruptible" trope when she's clearly corrupted.

Right down to having silver eyes and having IncorruptiblePurePureness. She was the greatest Huntress of her time but eventually a combination of factors such as the Grimm being near literally endless and constantly being called on to deal with other evils led her to do something incredibly desperate so she could find happiness of her own. That desperate action was gathering all the Relics in order to destroy the Grimm forever. But the power twisted her into what she is now and she grew bitter over what she saw as being punished for wanting to be happy.

The Hero is definition-only as per TRS.

* Legend of the Water Margin: Wu Song the Tiger Slayer (famous for beating a tiger to death, ironically Wukong's best pal and faunus sympathizer?), Li Kui the Black Whirlwind (for all your BoisterousBruiser [[TheBerserker berserking]] goodness) or [[TheHero Song Jiang]] himself for the name recognition

[[WMG: Penny's consciousness was transferred to Winter along with the Maiden powers and they're now SharingABody, not unlike Oz (just without the inevitable merging)]]
While yes, this doesn't seem to have been the case with any of the other Maidens, remember that Penny is unique as a synthetic person whose soul became a physical form, so it's entirely possible that could lead to a very different outcome

Overprotective Dad has been disambiguated

The kingdom is still around and highly isolationist so the other four don't really know about it. The kingdom is highly advanced in both technology and Huntsman training. Summer's father was an OverprotectiveDad who refused to let Summer indulge a love for adventure and eventually she ran away from the kingdom to live her own life and made her way to Beacon. She never contacted her parents after she left so they have no idea she had died. Eventually the kingdom will discover her death and that she had a daughter, making Ruby the next in line for the throne.

He'll hit the checklist of DotingParent who utterly adores his youngest daughter, which Ruby responds to with thinking he's an AmazinglyEmbarrassingParent, and OverprotectiveDad who literally tries to crush Jaune and Ren's hands in a handshake when he meets them. He will also be an equal to Qrow in combat and become a SpannerInTheWorks to Cinder's plans because he has a much lower profile which means that Cinder won't know about him until it's too late.

* Jossed, she gets fed up with Salem's all-take-no-give and defects.

[[WMG: The [[spoiler:Curious Cat]]]] usurps ''Salem'' and then becomes ''even worse without desiring World Destruction''.]]
[[spoiler:CC]] has the unique, literally otherworldly Semblance to share their soul with anyone they come into contact with. When they're revealed to be a villain, this proves to be ''monstrously'' overpowered, as they can ''possess'' anyone and anything that has been sufficiently weakened.
[[spoiler:CC]] possesses the Grimm, then infiltrates Salem's base, and finally possesses ''Salem'' of all people. Unlike her obsession with ending her suffering, [[spoiler:CC]] has an obsession with ending their ignorance. Rather than merely kill off all of humanity, they'll capture as many living humans as possible and then perform monstrous human experiments over and over, constantly driven by the desire to learn through torture and vivisection, while advancing technology in perverse ways until they've built an army of grimm-human-cyborg monsters strong enough to take on the very gods themselves - all so they can interrogate the gods and finally learn some things literally only the gods know. And then repeat the process on other worlds to see what makes their innocent natures tick.
