Shanks was horrified enough to have Luffy eat the Gum-Gum fruit and generally doesn't have his grown crew members hunt the things down. It's even less likely he'd have his kid eat one, especially one that was as potentially dangerous. It's also possible that, due to being found as a baby, she was named after her fruit (at least in Japan). The Hito-Hito Fruit: Model Nika was used to originally seal Tot Musica all those years ago
