One of the goddesses was channeling the message of finding the Shifting Place through Sharptongue
- Before Sharptongue died, she told Nothing to go to the Shifting Place and break the cycle. One of the goddesses (probably Cansu) probably spoke through Sharptongue to make it stick in Nothing's mind at that moment, but couldn't get out all of the message before the vessel died of old age. No proof, just an idea.
Rain was Cansu testing Nothing by telling her to abandon Feather.

They look very similar and Nothing even mistakes Rain for Hover. Or Rain is Hover's sister.

I just think it would be neat. Asra and Kyoga became one when Kyoga channeled her to curse light, so Nothing is Asra.
Nothing is reincarnated from Kyoga and is mentioned to have the potential to be a great huntress. Maybe it comes from being a part of Asra's soul. Nothing is descended from Asra directly.
It makes sense from a genetic standpoint that nearly all of the Lions in the series are related to her distantly. That is if she and her mate managed to have cubs together. Fire killed Quickmane, and Proud just found the body
With the latest preview, it seems that Quickmane and Fire at least tussled. I wouldn't put it past Proud to have cheated his way to manehood by coming across a body and taking over a pride that Fire would not have taken over, due to him being related to most of the lionesses there.- Jossed somewhat. Turns out Fire had tried to claim the Sisters Steppe, but was too weak, prompting the future Proudmane to step in and kill Quickmane.
The gods are jerkasses
The myths claim that the goddesses are all-knowing and Pride Law is divinely enforced. Recent interviews from one of the three goddesses proves that this is an outright lie; Cansu claims that their hands are tied due to one of their number suffering a mental breakdown and trapping herself in her own misery, leaving the other two relatively impotent and unable to heal the world or stop Lite from creating an oppressive cult-mentality among an entire species.In truth, the remaining two goddesses could have easily fixed everything with their mystic powers. It's just that this would distract them from fulfilling their 'duties' to suppress and exterminate any threats to the world - namely, species with innovation. The horrifying revelation is that they have already committed genocide of the Lizardmen, the would-be Skaven, the Impala Hive mind, i.e. anyone who could have invented cultivation and technology, or at least collaborated with the lions as equals. They are understandably weary of a grim future where fat bastards rule through magical machines with an iron fist, but they have kept the world in perpetual stasis and the lions in species isolation to prevent threats to their rule. Everyone starves, infights, or hunts mindlessly because the gods refuse to let them do anything else. Humans in this world are just beginning to start their journey and already Cansu is plotting how to zap them back into the trees.- Alternatively, the goddesses are, in fact, cowards. They refuse to address the prides directly because they know, deep down, that if any rebellious mane or huntress decided to do the unthinkable and attack their own goddess, the goddess could be killed and their power would be absorbed by the new god. Their excuses for not guiding their own children directly boil down to a fear of the mortals that have grown increasingly savage and capable of taking them down, leaving them to try to defang their children through visions and mysterious guidance so they don't have to put themselves on the line.
Nothing will Grew a Spine and disowned her brother, mother, her half-sisters, and possibly break up with her girlfriend.
Fire betrayed her by killing her cousin and cruelly tells her that she was a weak curse, Powerstrike is a Abusive Parent to her all because she is disabled, Farleap and Silentstalk treat her like dirt, and Hover blames Nothing for missing her ceromony and didn’t help her find Fire. I really want Nothing to finally call out to her ableist family and disown them. She will declare Feather is her only family who truly love her despite her disability and that she want nothing to do with those assholes who see her as a weak potential. (Also I think that Nothing will dump Hover). Someone will face Laser-Guided Karma like becoming disabled like Nothing
My money is on Fire and Powerstrike. Nothing will get a Second Love.
