WMG / Jeff the Killer

Go To

Liu's name is short for Liupold, an old form of Leopold.
Because why not?

Jeff's parents are obsessed with their social status, and care more about that than their own kids.
Think about it. It would explain why they make Jeff attend a little kid's birthday party, and why, instead of getting psychiatric help for their son, their first instinct is to kill him. It'd be easy to cover up the murder as self-defense, especially with what Jeff did to himself, but (to them at least) getting psychiatric help for Jeff would look poorly on them socially.

This would explain the inconsistencies, plot holes, and bad writing, as well as Jeff's deformities being exaggerated. Jeff is a malignant narcissist, and so he decided to write an idealized version of his story where he attempts to portray himself as sympathetic and better than he actually is. It's basically self-indulgence.

Jeff is possessed by a demon
The weird feelings he gets for seemingly no reason could be the demon infiltrating him early on. Him snapping during the party is him agreeing to a pact with the demon. The unnatural strength he displays when fighting Randy's crew would be due to the powers of the demon, and every action he makes after discovering his new face is influenced or directly caused by the demon possessing Jeff's body. It's a more plausible explanation than his sudden creepypasta strength coming out of nowhere.

Jeff isn't Jeff
His body was so horribly burned after the fire, that he ended up misidentified as Keith.

Jeff sewed his scars up shortly after he killed his family.
That way, instead of being gaping gashes in his cheeks, they'd look more like this: [1] (note: that is a real Glasgow smile).

Jeff is slowly going blind, but slows the process by regularly applying eye drops.
He breaks into houses and steals them. This is also how he gets food.

Jeff is actually Abridged!Tristan.
His voice gives him super strength.

Alternatively, Jeff is Tristan but Awesome.
His alternate poses are a dead match.

Jeff's last name is Kang.
Because that would make his brother Liu Kang.

The picture of Jeff the Killer is a picture of The Joker.
Isn't it obvious!?!
  • Perhaps it's a picture of the Joker that was heavily edited. It would explain why it looks nothing like any known incarnation of the Joker.

Jeff always had sadistic tendencies. He simply became a cloudcuckoolander because of head trauma from falling down the stairs.
So, from the beginning, the story states that Jeff was having "strange feelings". This is heavily implied to be his "killer instincts", meaning he was mentally disturbed before the incident at the party. All that served to do was cause him to become mentally unstable. There have been several incidents of people's personalities drastically changing after receiving head trauma, which Jeff logically would have sustained after falling down a flight of stairs. This is what caused his personality to shift from a kid with sadistic tendencies who could keep quiet about them to a kid who is highly narcissistic and attempts to live out his perverse murder fantasies.

Jeff was not on fire for that long, and that's why he looks the way he does, instead of like an actual burn victim.
So, this theory relies on several assumptions.
First, that Jeff's skin isn't chalk white, but rather just very, very pale. See, you know how when you get sun burnt, and your skin starts to peel? It always looks much paler, like so.
Now, one should also remember that he probably underwent skin grafts and reconstructive surgery. Keep in mind that this story takes place in about 2003. For one, the technology was not as good as it is today.
Take a good look at these images (warning, these are of in-progress skin grafts, and may be unsettling): [2] [3] [4] Note how in each image, the patch of "new" skin is always much paler than the person's actual skin. It's also smoother, which would give the impression of being "leathery".
So Jeff was set on fire with bleach and vodka. Vodka is flammable, but bleach is not. He would have been burned, yes, but by the time he hit the bottom of the stairs, it would be mostly out, and definitely would be by the time Jane arrived with a fire extinguisher. So yes, Jeff sustained burns, but his face was reconstructed, and thus was much much paler. Mind you, his hair was singed, causing it to look somewhat black. Wearing black causes skin to appear paler, so with his skin already being fairly pale, having blackened hair would make it appear almost ghostly white.
So in all honesty, he'd look a bit like Michael Jackson: [5]

Jeff's crime spree only lasted about two years max.
He's 13, is slowly going blind, has to steal to survive, and has a very recognizable face. As Jeffery Woods, he is being searched for as a missing person. As the "Sleep Killer", he is wanted for several counts of homicide. On top of that, someone is going to piece together that Jeff (who vanished shortly after his house burned down) disappeared around approximately the same time that the killer took his first victim. He's not portrayed as being too clean with his killings, so eventually the murders would be easily linked to him. So not only are the police after him, but he also has Jane, who is clinically obsessed with revenge, hunting him down with the intent to slowly torture and kill him. Using eye drops would only keep his blindness at bay for so long, and eventually his luck would run out. Either the cops would arrest him, Jane would murder him, or he'd die from either starvation or an accident after fully losing his sight.

Aside from his family, and a few early victims, Jeff mainly targets insomniacs.
He probably at some point decided that his victims should fit his signature catch-phrase. See, serial killers have a phase of random killings before they develop their signature. Jeff had a signature phase, but was just breaking into houses and killing random people. He probably realized this wasn't working so well, and so he decided to explicitly target insomniacs. Due to lack of sleep, it would be harder for them to put up a fight. He chooses his victims through insomniac message boards and chat-rooms on the internet.

Jeff is an overly obsessed Joker fanboy.
He's a psychotic killer who carves Glasgow Smiles into people's faces.

The Creepypasta is just an estimation of Jeff's backstory in-universe
The real Jeff was in fact, a normal kid that nobody really knew aside from his name and mild bits of information of what his life was like, with the only thing known about his current status is that some sort of accident caused him to become the pale-faced killer known today. In-actuality, the accident involved his immediate death, with his current appearance being the product of a combination of gruesome injuries he obtained as he was killed, and being disfigured due to being possessed by a malevolent presence, although still alive and aware of his situation with only the bare minimum of control over his body, with the only things he can really do to fight his possessor's control is to try and make the deaths of the people he's forced to kill as swift and painless as possible, hence him aiming for the heart, and his catchphrase itself is another way of fighting this, as it's his way of begging them to sleep so at least they won't feel fear as they die.
