Considering how much the ACS writers love Hilarious in Hindsight, Harsher in Hindsight, and Dramatic Irony:
There will be multiple references to the 2016 US election:
- Hillary Clinton's character alluding to the US Presidency ("If I was President...", "Once I'm President...", etc.)
- Alternatively, characters may question whether or not a Clinton would ever run for President again
- Donald Trump will feature as a cameo (a clip of him being interviewed may show up while the characters watch TV, on a newspaper, or referenced by other characters)
- Someone, perhaps even Trump himself, will mention that he's also cheated on his spouse(s) as a Take That!
- Coulter commenting on "what kind of flabby con men will see a path to the White House" in Episode 3 could be a possible allusion to Trump's future presidency. (Plus she also imagines a large amount of lies, corruption, and sexual harrasments)
- Other politicians relevant to the 2016 election may also make cameos or be referenced
Episode 3 had heavy allusions to the rise of Internet reporting and the future of how news will be covered.
