Jason's There's No Kill like Overkill moment on Paula was because she resembled Alice Hardy
If you squint a bit, Paula sort of looks like a dark-haired version of Alice. Seeing his mother's murderer seemingly alive and well and at his home despite him stabbing her in the head with an ice pick pressed Jason's Berserk Button enough to really brutalize "Alice" enough to make sure she couldn't come back again.When Tommy stabbed Jason with a fencepost (ultimately leading to his resurrection), he was being compelled by the same hypnotic force that made the coroner eat Jason's heart in Part IX
