WMG / Flawed Crystals

In this universe, Steven Universe: The Movie and Steven Universe: Future are actually deeper layers in Steven's room fantasy.

If Steven had succeeded in capturing the gems or they were shattered, he simply creates an entirely new fantasy that is layered on top of the previous (with the bubbled Crystal Gems being replaced by identical Room constructs). Steven and the Gems live in The Room for 2 years while the second fantasy plays out; Steven dismantles Homeworld's empire and decides to live happily ever. His subconscious has other plans, sending Spinel as it's agent to make Steven realize he's got more work to do and that he doesn't actually like the Diamonds (sending to Spinel to them because he doesn't have the inner strength to deal with his own guilt over their shattering).

Eventually it ends and the next layer begins. Steven gets to live a peaceful albeit busy life. However, his problems start to catch up to him which manifests as his new "pink powers" which is actually the combination of Steven going through puberty and his subconscious trying to break through. Jasper -being the one person he can't change- ends up being key to helping Steven grow stronger and also causing the fantasy to break down.

When Steven shatters Jasper and resurrects her, it's a manifestation of his guilt and fear that he's no better than the Diamonds. He then tries to get their help, which his subconscious manifests as metaphors for drug addiction/apathy (Blue), plastic surgery/insecurity (Yellow) and self harm/trauma (White) with Spinel being a metaphor for unwanted, unhelpful advice. When he returns home, Steven finally begins to break down due to his corruption.

Unlike the scenario in Flawed Crystals where Steven's corruption causes him to accept his new corrupted form and then goes into angry denial when the gems confront him; Steven tries to pretend that everything is fine only to break down and become exactly what he believes himself to be: a monster.In this case, Steven's guilt and self-loathing win out over his worst self. This time, calming him down enough so that Steven can get the help he needs actually works.This causes the fantasy to gradually break down and eventually Steven and the Crystal Gems leave the room, setting the scene for Steven Universe Future's final episode. Steven gets a therapist and leaves Beach City with Connie as in canon.

After the true ending, Steven and the Crystal Gems end up going to Homeworld.

This leads to a sequel where they go to uncorrupt the Homeworld citizens affected by the Diamond's post-death corruption wave, leading into a story about how while shattering the Great Diamond Authority was the right thing to do, it eventually led to a power vacuum where Diamond loyalists and dissenters alike are now trying to take over Homeworld for themselves. Now as Steven, you must navigate a volatile struggle where you must decide either to support the Great Diamond Loyalists (Holly Blue Agate, Prosecutor Zircon, Emerald, the Ruby Squad and Aquamarine) or the New Homeworld Republic or reject both sides to focus on saving the corrupted Homeworld gems.

Unlike Flawed Crystals which focuses on the Crystal Gems and their personal issues, we get to see how Homeworld's rule had affected the day-to-day life of the average Gem and things have changed now that the Diamonds have all been shattered. In addition, after beating the game once, Pink Diamond's Garden becomes available and you can fight Spinel there. Also, if you defeated the Perfect Crystal in Flawed Crystals, you could get an Old Save Bonus where you can fight all 4 Diamonds at once or their fusion form, Paragon.
