  • In the first battle alongside an amnesiac Jasper, you (Stevonnie) get hurt by three Sharks attacking at once. She shoves you behind her, saying, "Get behind me, pipsqueak. I'm tough, I can take it."
    • After defeating the Sharks, Jasper grins, but it's a genuinely happy smile instead of a Slasher Smile. She says to you, "We did a good job!"
  • When talking to Greg, you can admit that you're a little scared. He will hold your hand and say, "Remember, you're not alone. I'm here for you. Anything you need." He really is a good dad.
  • Using Encouragement on yourself or another Gem helps restore their HP.
    • When used on Jasper:
"Jasper, uh..." Stevonnie looks at a loss for words for a second, then says, "You're real strong! I believe in you!"

Jasper looks sheepish for a second, then breaks into a huge, bright smile at the praise.
  • During Lapis' healing sequence, the key to restoring her is telling her that it's okay if she leaves again, because no matter what she decides to do, you'll still be her friend.
Stevonnie: You didn't let me down by leaving. And… it's okay if you decide to leave again. I don't mind if you do stuff that's hard for me. Even if you have to leave… I'm just happy we got to be friends at all.
    Lapis: (smiles) You...really mean that?
    Stevonnie: I do.
  • In Peridot's healing sequence, she feels she's a traitor because of her Conflicting Loyalty to Homeworld and to Earth. You remind her of when she bravely stood up to Yellow Diamond in order to protect the Earth, and that she chose to use the sonicator because it would hurt the fewest people, only shattering the Diamonds and not harming the Homeworld Gems.
You place your hands on her shoulders, and turn her to face you. "You know the difference between right and wrong. I trust you to make your own decisions, and so should you," you say. "You're a good person, Peridot."

Peridot looks surprised, then smiles the wide, happy grin you've missed from her as everything fades into light.
  • Lapis and Peridot being reunited after they're both healed. When Lapis sees that Peridot is okay, she runs to embrace her, which is huge, considering how aloof she usually is.
  • Both Lapis and Peridot being okay with Stevonnie's decision to keep Jasper around and try to heal her. Peridot says, "Everyone deserves a chance, like you said."
  • Steven calls Pearl his mom after her healing (a prolonged re-examination of their roles to each other).
  • Peridot protectively holding Lapis's shoulder while telling the Room Rose (i.e. Steven's corrupted self) to lay off Lapis because she's been through a lot in response to them claiming that Lapis should simply get over her depression and PTSD.
  • Even when Steven is corrupted, the Crystal Gems are willing to save him. Unlike Steven Universe: Future — where forgiveness was the key to curing Monster Steven — this time they call him out for his cowardice and selfishness. If you uncorrupted Jasper and got her to join you, she ends up being able to help Steven by showing empathy towards him, having been in his situation once. This is what ultimately frees Steven from his corruption, allowing him to let go and accept that he's just a child and that he can't save everyone.
  • The best ending has Steven survive the fight with the Crystal Gems and accept their help to purify his corruption. Steven's mind has recovered and he's now accepted that he's just a child, he doesn't have to live up to his expectations of Rose Quartz, and that he can live a normal life. He tells Connie the final part of his dream, which is the ending of Change Your Mind, though he admits that the real Off-Colours wouldn't have been happy with the Diamonds being on Earth and that a simple apology from them would've solved nothing, and that maybe nobody would've been happy had the Diamonds been allowed to live. While his body is still physically corrupted, Steven is at least on the mend and Jasper finally apologizes to him for her previous actions.
