The pirate that vanished out of thin air that the crew mentioned in Chapter 2 at the tavern ends up being your agent or the director that seems to have a vendetta against you for some reason.
The crew that mentions that the pirate disappeared out of thin air, similar to how Peyton did as well. It's possible that thinking about rebelling against their agent or director caused the artifact to act up and send Peyton back in time.

Players can determine how the story will end
At the end of the book, Peyton will have the choice to stay with their love interest in the 18th Century or return to the present day.
  • Seems likely. During Chapter 6, Peyton notices that they didn't once think of going home at all, meaning they could be getting quite comfortable being in the current era.
  • In Chapter 15, when you split up with either Charlie, Edward or Oliver, they ask if Peyton will stay in the past or go back home. You can Take a Third Option and be conflicted about it.

The rest of the mutineers can be re-recruited back onto the ship
Chapter 4 ends with Robert and his mutinous side of the crew leaving the Poseidon's Revenge. Over the course of the book, Peyton can recruit them back.
  • The Captain's Cabin has a portrait of Kendrick's silhouette, so he is a possible recruit.
    • Confirmed. Kendrick can be recruited back in Chapter 12.

Peyton's presence in the pirate age will cause a Time Crash
Their presence in the past is not only disrupting the future, but eventually all timelines just by their existence.

Serafine Dupont from Bloodbound will appear
Serafine mentioned spending some time as a pirate, and because this story focuses on pirates, it suits the adventures she experienced.
  • Jossed. She never appears.
