The game is set in Mirror Arad (or an alternate universe equivalent) and will more closely explore the events leading up to the Great Metastasis.
- The Great Metastasis is a cataclysmic event that was triggered by Carloso reuniting with one of his Fragments, who appears in Duel as a playable character. Given the Lost Warrior's presence and the conspicuous lack of Female Slayer (whose existence is a direct result of the Metastasis/Great Metastasis), it is likely that the game's plot will either involve the Great Metastasis or the cast trying to stop it from happening.
