If not a sequel, then possibly a spinoff series will follow
It will be called "The Outback" and its episodes will consist of:- P.B. trying desperately to fit in with the "ugly" animals until realizing he should just be himself.
- Doug and his cane toad family causing problems for the outback residents, leading Maddie and friends to find a solution that will help everyone.
- P.B. attempting to return to the zoo and exact revenge on Giggles.
- More Character Development on Chaz, specifically him treating animals with better respect, picking up what he learned from the end of the film, as well as bonding more with his son.
The events of the movie are P.B.'s Dying Dream
Starting from the part where he gets stung by Nigel, the scorpion's venom caused him to hallucinate going on a grand adventure with the scary animals. Meanwhile, the world continues to mourn him and Nigel is wracked with guilt as he and the others flee the scene of the crime. Hey, someone was going to come up with a dark theory eventually. The movie takes place in the same world as Madagascar
Both feature zoo animals escaping to the wild and a reluctant celebrity animal who longs for attention.
