Nirvasyl syndrome is a Synthetic Plague with a latent period.
Supposedly there's this disorder caused by the stress of multiple beastman species living in close proximity, which nobody has seen until a crooked bioscientist in prison meets with a priest working for the company making beastman-to-human vaccines? Smells fishy to me.

After all, there are plenty of viruses that remain latent in the host until a stressful period.

There was no Nirvasil syndrome at Nirvasil
Shirou is from Nirvasil, you'd think he would have heard of some residents turning into giant purple berserkers before the army arrived and killed everyone. It was just a purebred manipulating humans into exterminating hybrids, and possibly gathering sacrifices for an immortality ritual.

Alan Sylvasta destroyed Nirvasil
He is known to be immortal after all.

Alan Sylvasta's ancestor, or possibly Alan himself, ran the camp the mayor was at as a child during World War 2.
Alan seems like the kind of person the Nazis would like — blonde, blue-eyed, fixated on purity, and interested in eliminating the "hybrid problem."

Boris Cliff is another pureblood Beastman.
That’s why his beast form is so bizarre and monstrous, much like Alan being a Cerberus instead of just a glowing wolf.
  • Alternatively, he was undergoing Nirvasil Syndrome himself, either from seeing so many others involuntarily transform, and/or deliberately induced by Alan to clean up loose ends. His breakdown was simply slower because he was in human form when it started.

Alan is inbred and that's why he killed a thousand wolves to become a god.
Alan claims that the reason behind him having three heads is his pure breeding, which is only half true, I propose the reason behind his multiple heads and offputting human-faced beast form are genetic defects caused by INBREEDING, why do I think this? because historically nobility in their wish to keep their blood "pure" ended up filled with birth defects and disease, and if Alan really as old as he says and that his family has made sure to stay"pure" he might just be an inbreed Noble Wolf who was probably very sickly due to this, that and his hatred of hybrids were the reason why he was so willing to kill a thousand wolves to become a physical god, to cure himself of his genetic diseases, that's also why Ginrou was able to overpower him, even when they had reached the same state of being, ginrou still had a stronger more healthy body

Why Michiru repeatedly calls Marie a weasel
Not because she's a ditz with a bad recollection, but because she has a (totally justified) grudge against Marie for always stealing from her and scamming her.

Marie's insistence about not being a weasel isn't just vanity or species pride.
Marie has had past experience with weasel-related Animal Stereotypes, possibly with traumatic event(s) driving it home, like rejections or false accusations based on her similarity to one.

Alternately or additionally, it's possible she is a weasel: Her denials could be anything from a mink's protests against In the Blood regarding some less-than-reputable weasels in her family tree, to identifying with the non-estranged parent in a mink/weasel pairing (regardless of which one she truly takes after).

Either one may be related to her position as a player in the underworld, as well, thus giving her a further reason to deny being the stereotype she exemplifies.
