WMG / Absolute Carnage

Go To

When Carnage comes after Norman it'll cause his mind to at least partially heal.
Because we all know it's only a matter of time and question of how the Green Goblin is going to return.
  • Teased in the Ultimate Comics shorts and issue 3, where it's shown that Norman's psyche is fighting for control of his body.

Scorn's corpse serves as the body for the new Demogoblin
One of the lines in the solicitations for the event is "Hell hath no fury like a goblin’s scorn!" which seems to be a reference to her name and a corpse should be more easier for a demon to possess than a living human.
  • Jossed, it's actually a freshly killed Shriek.

Cletus will be stripped of the Grendel symbiote by Knull, and after the event is over will steal Alchemax's sample of his original symbiote
Provided Cletus isn't just killed off, status quo will be restored and the original Carnage will be back, and Knull will probably be sealed away again.
  • Partially confirmed. Cletus loses Grendel, but dies as a result - but, considering the nature of a Comic Book Death, Cletus will still probably come back as regular Carnage at some point.

Grendel-ified Miles will have a role to play in defeating Carnage.
In his tie-ins, Miles has been trying to take back control of his body, and has even figured out how to tap into the symbiote Hive Mind to psychically encourage another person to resist the symbiote. If he can stay in control long enough, he could basically be the heroes' "man on the inside", learning the next steps of Carnage's plans to give the heroes an advantage.
  • Jossed. The ending of Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales is completely ignored, and Miles is freed from the symbiote by Eddie electrocuting it.

Venom will bring Carnage down with him to face yet another Comic Book Death together, ala Batman: Endgame.
"Don't worry about it, Parker. We're just gonna rest here a little while with our son."
  • Jossed, Venom kills Carnage and lives to tell the tale.

Carnage will go the way of Norman Osborn and stay dead for a good few years.
While probably not to the extended absence Norman took (20 years!), Carnage could stay dead for probably a good 5 years after this event. Provided Venom does a Taking You with Me, the V-Man could be suspect to this as well, though it's possible that he may find some way to return much sooner - while Carnage will probably burn out for a while given the gigantic event he is at the helm of.
