** The line of thought this theory went is that both characters will be in ''Smash'', but that the Party Crash was to determine which would be the default.

The interesting part, though, is that the Party Crash Bash took place in the midst of Volume 1 of ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's'' Fighter's Pass. And knowing that when the first game of ''Splatoon'' released its final Splatfest, "Callie vs Marie", the final results may have had a hand in the story of ''Splatoon 2's'' Hero Mode, in which Callie (the loser) got kidnapped by the Octarians. This Party Crash Bash could've been something similar: pitting all fifteen fighters against each other in a giant finale, with the winner, "the ultimate champion", getting the invite to ''Smash Bros.'' The fact that Fighter's Pass #6 asks which of the fifteen fighters will get in the game, adds up.

* Unlikely, as the DLC fighters for ''Smash Bros.'' have already been determined, and by the time the 2020 Battle For Stardom Party Crash was announced, the team at Sora Ltd. only have less than three months left before the character gets released in June 2020. Compare that to Banjo and Kazooie, which were revealed in June 2019 and came out in early September 2019: the duo was already ''far'' in development, so it wouldn't be surprising if the same goes for the ARMS fighter, meaning it'd be way too late to determine which of the two would go in. Besides, this Party Crash is a repeat of the very first Party Crash back in 2018, so it's most likely to celebrate the fact that ARMS is getting in Smash.\\
If there were a Party Crash to determine who gets the honor to be in Smash, it would have to be made earlier, like before the second Fighter's Pass volume was even revealed. Not to mention it has to involve everyone instead of only Spring Man or Ribbon Girl. And there's one such event that comes to mind...

[[WMG:The Party Crash Bash tournament in 2019 was for ''Smash'']]
In 2019, an unusual batch of Party Crashes took place: a bracket tournament known as the Party Crash Bash, which pits all fifteen fighters against each other, with several getting eliminated in each Party Crash round and only one to come on top as "the ultimate champion".

On the surface, this could very well celebrate the 2nd anniversary of ARMS, as an image in honor of the winner was released on the 2nd anniversary of the game, but it was also thought of as the grand finale of the Party Crash events, as the finals of the Party Crash Bash was in fact the final Party Crash for a long while.

[[WMG: Min Min actually hates ramen.]]
Min Min's parents own a ramen shop, and Min Min works there. She pretends to like ramen in order to please her parents, and, as a result, ramen has become a defining part of her life. To Min Min, ramen represents her strict parents whose micromanagement prevents her from making her own way. The day she woke up with ramen-themed arms was the worst day of her life.

[[WMG:The Battle for Stardom Party Crash is for ''Smash'']]
Not celebrating ''Smash'', but helping ''Smash'' chose its newcomer. Spring Man and Ribbon Girl will both be playable, being echo fighters or costumes of each other. The Party Crash will determine the main one, while the loser will be either the second costume or the Echo. The combination of the title and this Party Crash coming out of nowhere is the reasoning for this troper.
