The Supper is a "bite-sized" game by Octavi Navarro.

You play as Ms. Appleton, a chef who owns The Joyous Lobster Inn, a tavern in a seaside town. You are guided by The Voice, who commands you to serve a meal to three distinguished customers by exploring and solving puzzles.

The game was released on January 28, 2020 and can be downloaded on itch.io here.

Due to how short the game is, all spoilers are unmarked. You have been warned.

The Supper provides examples of:

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Ms. Appleton has green skin.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Ms. Appleton and The Voice both have brown skin, though their ethnic background is never clarified.
  • Ambiguously Human: It's unclear if Ms. Appleton is still human or some sort of zombie.
  • An Arm and a Leg: The ending cutscene shows that Ms. Appleton lost both of her legs to the Deadly Shark.
  • Apologetic Attacker: Ms. Appleton whispers "sorry" before killing a pigeon by throwing a boot at it.
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: Ms. Appleton. One of her dishes is "Hand and Tongue Stew", and another is just a pigeon with sauce on it. The only normal-looking dish on her menu is the Spicy Red Swordfish.
  • Dead All Along: The Voice turns out to be Ms. Appleton's deceased friend who was murdered by the customers.
  • Evil Chef: Downplayed with Ms. Appleton; while she's definitely not a good person, compared to the three customers she's not all that bad.
  • Gratuitous French: The name of "Pigeon à la Sauce Rosée". The Voice also says "bon appétit" a few times.
  • Nemesis as Customer: The three antagonists are customers at Ms. Appleton's tavern.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: Ms. Appleton and The Voice. The ending shows that they were incredibly close, and there's nothing to indicate that their relationship was romantic.
  • Red Sky, Take Warning: The sky turns red towards the end of the game. It's never explained why.
  • Revenge Is a Dish Best Served: Ms. Appleton's method of getting revenge on the customers who killed her friend.
  • The Secret of Long Pork Pies: The "special sauce" Ms. Appleton puts on her dishes is actually the ground-up remains of her customers.
