SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off is a 2020 mobile game based on the long-running Nickelodeon series, SpongeBob SquarePants. It borrows inspiration from Diner Dash and Cooking Fever.

The game revolves around SpongeBob being in charge of various restaurants at different locations. He begins at a pancake stand outside his house, but then goes to visit other places such as the Krusty Krab, Sandy's treedome, Glove World, and more. Each location features a specific storyline where SpongeBob has to help a friend of his accomplish some sort of problem (for example, SpongeBob has to help Mr. Krabs prepare the Krusty Krab for a visit from the health inspector), and he must serve up enough eatery items to please the customers enough to advance. Meanwhile, Plankton, the biggest enemy of the Krusty Krab, is planning against them.

This game provides examples of:

  • 100% Completion: The game has an Achievement System, and Squidward, Sandy, and Patrick can be unlocked as playable characters.
  • Allegedly Free Game: The game is a free download on Mobile and Windows but the player must use real currency if they wish to purchase more in-game coins and diamonds should they run out during gameplay and don't want to wait out the timer. The Nintendo Switch and the Netflix "Get Cooking" version averts this entirely.
  • The Inspector Is Coming: The Krusty Krab chapter revolves around the upcoming visit from the health inspector. Plankton disguises himself as him to get close to the formula, but it isn't long before he is caught and the real inspector shows up, and passes them.
  • Snipe Hunt: Around the middle of the first chapter, Squidward decides to send SpongeBob and Patrick to Jellyfish Fields to compete in a jellyfishing contest he made up so they can leave him alone; however, only Patrick can do it because SpongeBob has to stay and work the pancake stand. As it turns out, there really was a jellyfishing contest, and Patrick shows the trophy he won to prove it.
