Scarlett Mysteries is a hidden object game developed by Space Fox Games and published by Artifex Mundi, released in June 2017.

Scarlett Everitt displayed a gift tied to the paranormal since she was a child, which drove her father to place her in an orphanage to protect her from an encroaching darkness. Years later, she learns her father is missing, and the only lead to his whereabouts is the Victorian mansion owned by a baronet named Steameyer.

Her only chance to find answers is to investigate the mansion, all while helping an innocent child who is also haunted by the paranormal.

Scarlett Mysteries investigates these tropes:

  • Accidental Murder: In a heated argument about the family estate being used for collateral, the Baronet accidentally killed his wife.
  • Death Touch: Bridget came close to causing Iris's death in her attempt to take her away from her father.
  • Disappeared Dad: Scarlett's father vanished sometime after leaving her in an orphanage for her safety.
  • Gilded Cage: Iris has been shut away in a part of the factory called "Sanctuary" in her father's paranoid attempt to protect his daughter from Bridget's ghost.
  • Haunted House: The Steameyer mansion is haunted by the ghost of the baronet's wife.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: All Iris wanted most is to have a normal life without being haunted by the paranormal or kept locked away for her safety.
  • I See Dead People: Scarlett is able to see ghosts.
  • Jacob Marley Apparel: Bridget wore a lovely velvet dress during her last moments alive.
  • Lady in Red: Scarlett wears a classy red Victorian dress.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: A strange case. Unable to bear the knowledge he accidentally killed his wife; he covered it up by making it appear she died in a factory accident.
  • Railroad to Horizon: The game ends with Scarlett and Iris leaving Steameyer mansion behind aboard a train.
  • Seeing Through Another's Eyes: Sometimes Scarlett sees visions of the past by viewing what her father experienced during his time at the Steameyer mansion. She even experiences Bridget's last memories before her death.
  • Together in Death: The baronet and his wife, now freed from their torments, are able to move on to the afterlife together.
