A match-3 puzzle game with Visual Novel elements, developed by Samobee Games and published by Whitethorn Games.

You play as the titular Princess Farmer who was just an ordinary farmer, until she was chosen by the Royal Lipstick of Strength and became one of Mother Gaia's Royal Guardians, who are in charge of protecting and caring for the Earth. After meeting another Guardian, named Garlic, they discover that something mysterious is happening in the woods. On her adventure to discover what is going on, Princess Farmer meets and befriends a lovable cast of characters.

Princess Farmer plays similar to a modern match-3 game, but it has more strategic and reaction-based gameplay, with additions like character movement and stack management. There are three different playstyles to choose from, making the objectives of each puzzle different depending on whether you chose to play an episode in Action Bunny-, Puzzle Bunny-, or Balanced Bunny-Mode.

The game was released on March 31st, 2022 and is available on PC, all major consoles, as well as IOS and Android.

Tropes in Princess Farmer:

  • all lowercase letters: Some characters and the menus are written with only lowercase letters, in their dialog box.
  • Cast Full of Gay: Every notable character is either female or nonbinary and, while there is no explicit romance in this game, a lot of characters are heavily implied or shown to be in the lgbtqia+ community.
  • Co-Op Multiplayer: At the start of each episode you can choose whether to play in single bun- or co-op bun mode which are single player and multi player respectively.
  • Cute Slime Mook: The only real enemies in this game are the adorable looking slime-like gummi bunnies, with their biggest difference from common type of slime being their bunny ears. They even come in different colours.
  • Dungeon Shop: In almost every episode, Rowan's wandering shoppe will appear on your path even when them being there makes little to no logical sense. This gets lampshaded by characters who wonder how Rowan got their shoppe in a cow barn or on a rooftop.
  • Everything's Better with Sparkles: You can choose from a variety of different types of sparkles to dress up Princess Farmer with, from glitter to snowflakes to dirt.
  • Fantastic Fruits and Vegetables: The gummi vegetables, which turn anyone who eats them into gummi bunnies, are the strangest kind of vegetables in the game.
  • Framing Device: Princess Farmer is told through a series of VHS tapes, every chapter being one episode, that are put in a video player and watched.
  • Match-Three Game: The main gameplay has you match vegetables in rows of three or more, either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, to score points. There are also goals to fulfil, like either matching or avoiding specific vegetables, timed challenges, and bonus and danger zones, which are given to you by a gadget called "Wonderbun".
  • Non-Player Companion: Princess Farmer will get help from non-player characters during certain puzzle sections.
  • Protagonist Title: The game is named after the main character Princess Farmer.
  • Randomly Generated Quests: You can complete daily quests to gain hearts, the in game currency, given to you by Gaia in the quest menu.
  • Relationship Values: Depending on your dialog choices, characters will like Princess Farmer more or less. How much a character likes Princess Farmer is shown at the end of each episode.
  • Theme Naming: Every episode title has the word "mystery" in it.
  • Transformation Trinket: The Royal Lipstick of Strength that allows Princess Farmer to transform into her Royal Guardian outfit.
  • Virtual Paper Doll: The hare dyes, obtainable from Rowan's shoppe or from having a good relationship with characters, allow you to change the colour of Princess Farmer's character sprite and portrait. There are also outfits that change the clothes that she wears after her transformation, and sparkles which add a glitter effect to her sprite.
  • World of Mammals: The world of Princess Farmer is populated by anthropomorphic bunnies, who act as human stand-ins, every other kind of animal has retained their original anatomy.
