Legacy of Lordaeron is a Three-Acts custom campaign for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, created by Warseeker.

Taking aspects of the Rexxar campaign and the history of World Of Warcraft in this campaign you initially control a Forsaken hero who is later joined by 3 others (Fellson, Merphist and Grimthos). In the first act the heroes have to fight against the Scarlet Crusade led by Renault Mograine In the second act fight against the Worgen and the scourge (the last one led by Araj the Summoner) and in the third act you must fight against the Worgen led by Glenn Greymane.

The custom campaign can be found and downloaded here

  • All Up to You: In the Act 3. Because Sylvanas' forces are so small and she only has one base, the duty of destroying the Worgen bases and defending the Forsaken falls to the heroes.
  • Arc Villain:
    • Act 1: Renault Mograine, as leader of the Scarlet Crusade, at least in that area..
    • Act 2: Araj the Summoner, as leader of the Scourge, at least in that area..
    • Act 2: Glenn Greymane, as leader of the Worgen, although he is more of a Hero Antagonist.
  • The Battle Didn't Count: Regardless of how many heroes you kill and how many bases you destroy, at the end of the campaign, the Worgens will be the official winners.
  • Final Boss:
    • In the Act 1, Renault Mograine is the last plot-relevant boss that you have to face.
    • In the Act 2 this is played with Araj the Summoner. Despite being the Arc Villain, after being defeated, the player will have to face several Worgen lieutenants.
    • The last battle of Act 3 consists of fighting Glenn Greymane, Krennan, and Liam at the same time. Although it is only necessary to kill Glenn to win.
  • King Mook: Many bosses are normal enemies but in hero version or a creep above level 11.
  • Flunky Boss: All bosses are accompanied by their subordinates, and in many cases the subordinates can be a greater threat than the boss himself.
  • The Load: Sylvanas's troops turn out to be this in the Gilneas invasion, being a small base against several larger bases, the player would constantly have to send their heroes to defend it and loses if it is destroyed, and their only "contribution" to the invasion is to send from time to time a group composed of 5 or 6 units that are quickly killed.
  • Purposely Overpowered: The Worgen are this, being that they are thought to represent a threat to four heroes of level 12 or higher, unfortunately this makes the Undead units almost useless.
  • Red Shirt Army: The waves of Undead that Sylvanas will send in the final mission are practically useless, since they are no match for the Worgen and even if they manage to reach a base, they will die before even damaging a tower.
  • Villainous Underdog: In the last two missions, Sylvanas only has 1 small base in each one, while the Worgen have several. She would be easily defeated if it weren't for the 4 Forsaken heroes.
  • Wolf Pack Boss: The final boss consists of fighting against 3 powerful heroes at the same time, although you only have to kill the leader to win.
