These games provide examples of:

  • Anti-Frustration Features: Can't remember important info? You can look at the transcript anytime to help.
  • The Bus Came Back: The game features returning characters from all twenty seasons, including Rey Curtis, Mike Logan, Lennie Briscoe, Adam Schiff, and Abbie Carmicheal.
  • Continuity Snarl: One of the flashback cases is set around New Years Eve 1999, by which point Rey should have retired and been replaced by Ed Green.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Overall, Rey has the most focus as the myth arc mostly involves him.
  • Due to the Dead: After solving the final case, Rey makes a visit to Lennie's grave to tell him they got the guy.
  • Murder by Inaction: Elle unintentionally, since she didn't call 911 immediately for her husband.
  • Murder by Mistake: Giles hired Vincenzo to kill Allison, but Harrison ended up dead instead.
  • That One Case: The main myth arc of the game is the Preppy Joggers case, a murder Rey was investigating with Lennie when he was still alive.
  • Vigilante Execution: The first episode has one — early in the "Order" segment, a Russian diplomat, whose claim of Diplomatic Impunity is still being determined, is gunned down in the courtroom by the father of the woman he raped and murdered, very narrowly missing Abbie Carmichael. The rest of the game is Michael Cutter's prosecution of the father.
  • Whole Episode Flashback: Episodes 2, 4, and 6 take place in 1999 when Rey still worked with Lennie.
