Are you getting Déjà vu? Well, you should! This is the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, with a completely different flavor! The new pizzeria is liked so much that recently, someone broke in and disappeared, and we want you to find that person so the police can go deal with them.
What? You're worried about the animatronics coming into your office? Don't! You've got doors that you can shut to keep them out. It's not like they'd want to stuff you into a Freddy Fazbear costume and kill you, that's so 8 years ago...
Five Nights at Freddy’s Plus (stylized as Five Nights At Freddy’s +) was an upcoming game in the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative created by Phisnom, who is better known as the creator of Porkchop’s Horror Show.
Designed to be a dark re-imagining of the original game, Plus featured multiple visual enhancements, new mechanics and various QOL improvements, such as the ability to change what certain UI elements look like, with various themes, ranging from the classic FNAF 1-styled buttons to completely unique visual layouts.
On August 4, 2023, Phisnom announced
that he is no longer developing Five Nights at Freddy’s Plus, could no longer address the game or answer questions to comply with his contract after its termination thanks to a Role-Ending Misdemeanor, and would be distancing himself from FNAF as a whole. The game's Steam page was also taken down shortly after, leaving the fate of the game in question.
On November 10, 2023, the official accounts for the game on YouTube and Twitter were shut down and all content that was hosted on them was removed, seemingly confirming its cancellation.
Five Nights At Freddy’s Plus (Note: Fan-made release) contains examples of:
- Adaptational Ugliness: While the animatronics' original designs weren't pretty to look at, their designs here are much more ugly and disturbing, to the point where one might wonder how they were given the greenlight to entertain children in the first place.
- All 4 animatronics have more dirt on them, and their eyes are smaller to give a more "sunken in" appearance.
- Chica's eyes do not match colors, and her right eye is actually broken.
- Foxy's body and clothing are much more visibly torn up, and his only visible eye is completely white.
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: The animatronics are still trying to stuff you into a suit.
- Anti-Frustration Features: Having problems with the HUD? FNAF+ allows you to customize the HUD and buttons with various settings and skins to your liking, such as giving them the classic look, or making the elements bigger, among other things.
- The Cameo:
- Repeatedly toggling the kitchen's camera has a chance of enabling it and showing Golden Freddy standing in that room. He does not jump scare the player upon being observed.
- By entering a password, you can enable the camera for the restaurant's hidden back room and find the Spring Bonnie suit already bloodsoaked and slumped on the wall.
- Controllable Helplessness: If Bonnie enters the office, he actually stands in front of the player for several uncomfortable seconds before finally tackling them.
- Darker and Edgier: Compared to the original game, FNaF+ has a much bleaker atmosphere; the animatronic designs are more disturbing and the pizzeria looks much more unclean and shabby.
- Double Subversion: In the original game's Custom Night, altering the animatronics' AI to 1-9-8-7 instantly triggers Golden Freddy's jumpscare. Here, doing so instead triggers the Custom Night opening screen... and then the jumpscare activates.
- Game-Over Man: On the death screen, a Freddy suit collapses on the side with human eyes spilling out of its sockets.
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Unlike in the original game, where Freddy and co. only wore accessories, here they have design changes to give them a new wardrobe.
- Freddy now wears black pants and a black vest with red trim.
- Bonnie wears purple pants with suspenders.
- Chica now wears pink shorts and ribbon on her head, in addition to her "Let's Eat!" bib.
- The only exception is Foxy, who always wore pants. However, they were changed from brown to red.
- Jump Scare: The animatronics suddenly jump and kill the player after entering the office, and Bonnie in particular will jump at the cameras to disable them if you stare at him for too long.
- Resources Management Gameplay: You have a limited amount of power available to you during the night, and running out of it is a bad idea.
- Slasher Smile: Bonnie's default expression. To say it's unnerving would be an understatement.
- Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Chica now has a pink bow on her head.
- Useless Security Camera: Actively Defied by having most cameras have a panning function, allowing you to get a much better look at the rooms through the cameras. The only ones that don’t have the panning function are ones in smaller rooms.
- You Are Already Dead: Once Bonnie stands in front of you in your office, unless you are almost at 6 AM, you are getting jumpscared not too soon after.
