One of the teens who needs rescuing.

Death Pages: Ghost Library is a Hidden Object Game developed by Elephant Games and published by Big Fish Games in January 2013.

You come to the city library to investigate the disappearance of three teenagers. Once there, you discover that a malicious spirit called the Alchemist has trapped their souls in the tale of "Romeo and Juliet" to live their lives as the main heroes. It's up to you to save the teens, change the ending of the story and stop the Alchemist from achieving his evil plans.

Death Pages: Ghost Library borrows these examples:

  • Anomalous Art: Dorian traps Julie inside a painting, which the player has to color to set her free.
  • Big Bad: The Alchemist and his puppet, Mr. Fool.
  • Gold Digger: A male variant. In this version of Romeo and Juliet, you discover Paris to be only interested in marrying Juliet because of her wealthy family.
  • Library Episode: The entire game takes place in a city library, where you traverse into a story to rescue the trapped souls of the teens.
  • Perverse Puppet: Mister Fool
  • Portal Book: You enter Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" to rescue the teens forced to play out their designated characters.
    • The bonus chapter has you enter Portrait of Dorian Grey alongside Ronald to rescue Julie.
  • Rapid Aging: Dorian Grey is subjected to this when you force him to look at his portrait.
  • Rewriting Reality: You help change the course of the play by rescuing the teens trapped in the roles of Romeo, Juliet and Mercutio, and ensure the heroes get a happy ending.
  • Rule of Three: Three teenagers - Ronald, Julie, and Martin - need to be rescued from the Alchemist.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: The Alchemist stole the souls of Ronald, Julie and Martin and planted them into the books as part of his evil plans.
