Death From Above is an Action Game by Lesser Evil set during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. You play as a Ukrainian soldier who gets captured by the Russians. After escaping captivity with the help of an elderly lady, you must fight your way back to friendly lines, armed only with a small drone and a supply of grenades.
The gameplay consists of using your drone to drop grenades on Russian soldiers and tanks while not getting shot down and keeping yourself safe. You can also earn points by returning stolen washing machines and convincing Russian soldiers to surrender rather than killing them.
Death From Above is currently in very early access on Steam.
This game provides examples of:
- Abnormal Ammo: In addition to frag and anti-tank grenades, you can also drop sausages on the Russians.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: In addition to invading your country, the Russians have been stealing Ukrainian washing machines.
- Attack Drone: Your only weapon is a small quadcopter drone (probably a civilian model).
- Video Game Caring Potential: Isolated Russian soldiers will surrender. Accepting their surrender earns you more points than killing them.
