Cursed Fables is a hidden object game series developed by Elephant Games.

The games released in order:

  • White as Snow - Based on Snow White. Queen Margaret arrives after a long journey only to find her stepdaughter, Snow White, greeting her and the castle mysteriously abandoned. She'll have to figure out what dark force is at play if she wants to save the kingdom from falling to ruin.
  • Twisted Tower - Based on Rapunzel. Genhelia receives a message from the witches' coven her mother was exiled from, offering her a chance to restore her family's honor in return for taking on a task: a creature has been stealing the souls of men, and she has to uncover why. To do this, she has to seek out a tower that has to be connected to the monster.
  • A Voice to Die For - Based on The Little Mermaid. Sea witch Marianna receives an unexpected visit from Princess Cassandra, desperately seeking her help. The prince is under an enchantment, lured away by a beautiful voice. She must investigate what manner of sea creature is doing this, and what their intentions are with him.
  • Before the Clock Strikes - Based on Cinderella. Stella Grayson and her daughters were invited to attend the ball hosted by Cinderella. But when they arrive, they are accused of treason! Not helping matters is that people in the castle have been frozen and dark magic is at work. She'll have to do whatever she can to uncover why her stepdaughter has become cruel to them and stop her.

Cursed Fables contains these examples:

White as Snow

  • Adaptational Heroism: In the fairytale, the Queen was Snow White's Wicked Stepmother who wanted to get rid of her out of jealousy and vanity. Here, the Queen is the protagonist, and she is active in trying to save the kingdom.
  • Antagonistic Offspring: Snow White is revealed to have been feeding on human blood ever since she was very young. When Queen Margaret discovers this upon returning home, her stepdaughter becomes her enemy.
  • Find the Cure!: With Snow White placed in magic slumber, Queen Margaret decided to travel the world to find a cure for her stepdaughter's vampirism.
  • No Name Given: Averted. The queen's name is Margaret.
  • Offing the Offspring: The witch informs Margaret that one possible way to end Snow White's reign of terror is to kill her. However, Margaret didn't want to because she loved her stepdaughter. Thankfully, she was offered an alternative solution...one that comes at a risk to herself as well.

Twisted Tower

  • Girl in the Tower: Rapunzel's parents tried to protect their daughter from people who would think her a threat by hiding her in a tower during the night. However, the townsfolk eventually discovered her secret.
  • Lunacy: Rapunzel was a regular person by day but became a monster at night.

A Voice to Die For

  • Adaptation Personality Change: Marianna's personality is far different from that of the original sea witch and other adaptations. While the sea witch didn't have much personality quirks and other versions leaned into Adaptational Villainy, Marianna is a good-natured person who is more than willing to help people regardless of their origins by providing her services.
  • Evil Redhead: Cecelia.
  • Mind-Control Eyes: The telltale sign of a victim under the siren's control is their eyes glowing a bright blue, which clues Marianna on who is responsible for luring away the prince and the sailors.
  • Sirens Are Mermaids: Cecelia is regarded as a siren, though she also has mermaid traits when her true form in revealed.

Before the Clock Strikes

  • Deceptive Disciple: Cinderella learned how to use magic by Camilla, the court fairy. However, she used what she learned to threaten her stepmother and stepsisters as well as use the prince for her own ends.
  • Good Stepmother: Stella. Sadly, despite all her efforts to love and support Cinderella, her stepdaughter is cold towards her.
