Dr. Emily Grey

An example of a heroic version of this trope, Dr. Emily Grey is a member of the Federal Army of Chorus who was turned mad due to the horrors of war. While she still remains a very talented doctor, she's very unhinged, takes delight in others' injuries, and is scary enough to frighten the main characters.
