No Sinack Word for "Holy War"
"The Northern Katvjarna Rebellion". Ikta Solork is told that the Sinack Chief Nanaku Daru called their independence revolt against the Katvjarna Empire a "holy war", which he finds to be at odds with what he knows of the Sinack language and culture. Namely, no such concept as "holy war" actually exists in it: the Sinack view war as a purely practical concept. Yatori Igsem suggests that the Sinack hold their spirit partners (stolen by the Imperial general in command as a means of subjugation) to be holy and might therefore view a war to recover them as a "holy war", but Ikta dismisses that possibility: he has a hunch that a third party introduced the concept to give the Sinack a justification.
