Trivia / Zombieland: Double Tap

• All-Star Cast: All of the main four have been nominated for or won Oscars, creating a hilarious image when the trailer for a zombie horror/comedy keeps advertising its actors with "Academy Award winner/nominee..."
• The Cast Showoff:
  • Avan Jogia briefly gets to sing.
  • Woody Harrelson gets to do one briefly in character showing off for Nevada his singing chops. He also gets to sing "Burning Love" over the closing credits.
• Corpsing: The actors reported to struggle keeping a straight face in the Madison scenes, and it's visible in the binocular scene, where Jesse Eisenberg looks back and forth to keep himself composed and Emma Stone looks about to crack up as she snarks "She's adorable!"
• Irony as She Is Cast: Tallahassee's endless disdain for the hippies gets even more amusing when you remember Woody Harrelson is a prominent advocate for the legalization of marijuana.
• Production Posse: It's the third movie directed by Ruben Fleischer in which Jesse Eisenberg appears after Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less.
• Sequel Gap: Comes out ten years and two weeks after the original film.
• What Could Have Been: The flashback with Bill Murray originally had him golfing with Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who tried to convince him to do another Ghostbusters. Given Murray appeared in the franchise's revival, the joke didn't work the same, so the writers changed to something that makes him uncomfortable (a press junket) for something he wouldn't like (a third Garfield movie).
