• Permanent Placeholder: Viola's name was initially just what she was referred to in the internal files. However, it ended up sticking as her name.
• What Could Have Been:
  • From the Wandersong official Tumblr, the circumstances surrounding the finale of the game and Audrey's ambiguous fate were recently laid to rest by the developers for good... sort of. Originally, after the moment of the Dream King getting finished off by Audrey, there would've been an animation of her falling down the pit where Dream King used to be, all but outright saying that she didn't make it out alive. According to the developers, this was scrapped primarily for two reasons: 1) the multitude of visual effects in that specific scene made it hard to tell what was happening, and 2) it felt like going too far in a game where the overall message was about forgiveness and compassion. It was decided that this thread would ultimately be left ambiguous, as they felt that "the question was more interesting than any one answer". So, did Audrey die, or did she somehow escape The End of the World as We Know It alive? As the response puts it...
  TLDR: We also don't know!
  • The game was almost called "Kiwi's Big Adventure", named after a novelty tea. The Bard's name was going to be Kiwi by default, as well.
  • The commentary states that Greg was "tempted" to have more sections where the player plays as Audrey, but didn't want that section to go on longer than was necessary.
• Word of Gay:
  • According to the devs, Sandra and Vivian are a Battle Couple.
  • It's confirmed in an ask that the Bard is non-binary.
