  • Content Leak: Mid-way through the development of the 3.0 update, a build of the scrapped 2.6 version ended up getting leaked online. Fortunately, since the large majority of the content within the leaked build was being taken out of the final version of the mod, anyway, the developers have stated that they don't mind this build being played.
  • Development Gag:
    • One of the planned characters for the V3 update was a redraw of this scrapped design for Mouse in the mod's alpha state. Fittingly, he was going to sing a remaster of "Scrap" alongside The Toons. However, he ended up not appearing in a remade form, but rather as the original drawing in a recreation of the original infamous week.
    • A character that did end up making the cut, however, is Crisis, a Decomposite Character based on Markus' Beta design that appears in Disc-1 to kill off Markus and sing the last 2 songs.
  • Development Hell: The 2.5/3.0 updates of the mod have gone through this on a level comparable to Vs Sonic.exe, to the point that its wiki page has an entire section dedicated to explaining its controversies. From tons of content being scrapped and replaced, members of the teams quitting or being removed, and the jump in ownership from Novatos to Rookie Team due to poor directing, the devs of this mod had to fight tooth and nail to get a good release out.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes:
    • Following their Role-Ending Misdemeanor, the Novatos Team's YouTube channel has been deleted, with the only means of listening to the older version's of the mod's soundtrack being through alternate uploads.
    • While the original YouTube channel for the Rookies Team created by Scott is still up, a second channel he made after apparently losing the password to the first one was deleted not too long after he was fired as director.
  • Old Shame: The oldest version of "Welcome" from the mod's beta was so infamously awful, not only was it replaced immediately in the full release, but the OST video showcasing it was quickly deleted from the team's YouTube channel.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor:
    • After many controversies rose against them and members leaving the team because of it, Novatos Team lost ownership of the mod, with the remaining members forming a new team called the Rookies Team, who now have taken said ownership.
    • Scott, the initial director of the Rookies Team, was fired after being exposed for tracing sprites, being toxic, drawing NSFW art and leaking content from the mod. As such, all of the content that he worked on will be kept exclusively in the leaked 2.6 build and replaced in the 3.0 update.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Olimac31 created his remix of "Misery" on his own time, but was later hired to compose for the rest of Disk-3 in the V3 update due to how much the team liked it.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • A remix of "Misery" composed by Olimac31 ended up getting him hired by Novatos Team to compose the rest of the 3.0 update's Disk-3. About a month later, however, Olimac posted a tweet stating that he had left the team due to exploitation of him and other members of the team, taking his remix with him. While on January 3rd, 2022, Olimac31 revealed that he and the developer of the mod managed to sort things out, bringing back the "Misery" remix, months later he announced his departure from the team for good, thus "Misery" is getting another remake to replace his. While Olimac would later return to the team following the original director getting removed from the project, his version of "Misery", which he renamed "Tragedy", is still not gonna be used, as he's now working on a new version.
    • There were plans to have a crossover with both versions of Sunday Night Suicide, but the plans eventually fell through due to miscommunications between the dev teams of both mods.
    • Any and all content for the mod made by Scott is now scrapped following him being fired as director, with most of said content being exclusive to the leaked 2.6 build.
