  • Follow the Leader: A twofold example: musically they take inspiration from the late 1990s-early 2000s wave of enormously successful pop/R&B girl groups (their SM:tv Live interview mentions being influenced by such acts as Sugababes, Mis-Teeq and Destiny's Child), but the concept of a band fronted by fictional animated members with real people making/releasing actual music under their name is exactly the same as the also-contemporary Gorillaz.
  • Missing Episode: A spin-off series known as VBirds: Perfect is said to have aired in 2003. Every episode is believed to be lost, but according to eyewitness accounts and its IMDb page it was a DanceDanceRevolution-esque dance mini-series where viewers could imitate the girls' dance routines.
  • One-Book Author: The real-world musical portion of VBirds released one single, with only two original songs (not including edits/remixes), and no more.
  • Stillborn Franchise: Despite the success of their single "Virtuality" and keeping viewers watching during ad breaks, no further singles or episodes were produced. The franchise also appears to have been Screwed by the Network.
  • Uncredited Role: Only Sophie Okenado is credited as the voice of Bling.
