Dummied Out: The game's such an Obvious Beta that loads of features either don't work or are clunkily integrated. (See: The Reel System for Chests/Traps, for instance.)
A potential example is the Arcanian Mechthat Kurt fights during his final quest at Starship Anchor. note The Mech has three attacks, Field Inducer, Plasma Shower and Aerial Cruiser. However, Field Inducer has three seperate animations: A head-butt, a swipe of Leon's sword (only seen if Leon is atop the mech) and the charging up of a separate cannon. The cannon animation is out-of-place and drawn-out for something minute and comboable. This implies that either A) an extra attack was planned and never implemented or B) the extra animation was a garbage-set they had forgotten to remove post-development. Note that this error concerning the cannon animation persists whether Leon is atop the Mech or not.
Franchise Killer: Due to the game's poor reception, no new (non-remake) SaGa game was released for about ten years, when Emperors SaGa come out.
