• Actor Allusion: On episode 97's new year celebration, the imitation request list are filled with some famous characters Mayumi Tanaka voiced.
• Backed By NASA/Backed By JAXA: Both NASA and JAXA advise the manga and anime. In fact, any appearance of space technology had to be approved by both organizations before airing. NASA also allowed part of the movie to be filmed at the Kennedy Space Center.
• Genius Bonus: Look at the hallway at JSC/KSC and JAXA. There are posters of current (during the show's airtime) NASA and JAXA science probes.
