- Friendship on the Set: Su Pollard and Claire Faulconbridge became close friends during filming, with Faulconbridge helping Pollard throughout filming as it was her first TV series.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The series still exists in the archives but has never been seen in any form since its initial 1979 airings. Only one publicity photograph of Paul Nicholas and Su Pollard is visible online.
- Screwed by the Network: The BBC bafflingly billed the series as a Dramedy and aired it after repeats of Open All Hours (which already had a dedicated viewership) making it hard for Two Up, Two Down to get recognised. Su Pollard later blamed this on the series' lack of success.
